SILICON GENESIS CORP. AND IMPLANT CENTER, INC. ANNOUNCE A PARTNERSHIP

Silicon Genesis Corp. (SiGen) and Implant Center, Inc. have announced an agreement regarding implantation services for SiGen's SOI manufacturing. Under this agreement, SiGen has installed its Applied Materials xR 120 ion implanter at Implant Center's facility in San Jose, California. Implant Center will operate the implanter for SiGen


The xR 120 implanter, recently acquired by SiGen, will be used primarily for production of their 200 mm silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrates. Ray Krummen, Implant Center President and Chief Executive Officer, states, “This unique partnership is a perfect match with our expertise in ion implantation production and maintenance that clearly allows SiGen to commit their valuable resources to other critical engineering and process development efforts for their SOI process. For the past year Implant Center has worked closely with SiGen to characterize their emerging process on other state-of-the-art tools at our facility. The success of this alliance became the vehicle to move to the next level of partnering by installing their implanter at our facility. We are extremely proud and excited to be designed into the production of an advanced process such as SO”.
