Gary Holyoak - Chief Executive Officer
Gary Holyoak was appointed Chief Executive Officer of INNOViON in August 2003 after joining
the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2002. Mr. Holyoak's career spans more
than 20 years in the semiconductor materials and services sector.
Prior to joining INNOViON, he held engineering, product marketing and sales management
positions in the European and US divisions of MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc., a world
renowned substrate materials provider to leading semiconductor manufacturers.
He received his BSc Hons. in Chemical Engineering and Fuel Technology from Sheffield University,
England and is a Corporate Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and Chartered Engineer.
Barbara Freund - Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Freund brings over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor materials business.
At Lawrence Semiconductor, an outsource epitaxial service provider in Mesa, Arizona, Ms. Freund
was instrumental in growing Lawrence from $3.2MM in 1992 to over $22MM in 1996. In 1997 she
successfully organized the merger of Lawrence with ATMI as a pooling of interest transaction,
valued at over $100MM. Ms. Freund became the CFO of the merged business until her departure to
join Implant Center in July 1998. Ms. Freund was previously an Assistant Controller at the Pointe
Resorts in Phoenix managing revenues in excess $120MM. She began her career with Guess? Jeans
while still a start-up and remained through the national expansion of the company after receiving
her BS in Accounting from Arizona State University. Ms. Freund is a CPA in Arizona.
John Schuur - Chief Technical Officer
John Schuur brings over 25 years of implant and device process experience from Intel
Corporation, VLSI Technology and Integrated Device Technology. Mr. Schuur holds multiple
patents in semiconductor manufacture and ion implantation processing including several
concepts that are now considered to be industry-wide standards. Mr. Schuur received a BS in
Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and has authored numerous articles on practical
applications for ion implantation. He is a long-standing member of the Steering Committee
and has chaired the Ion Implant Users Group for the Western United States.
Steven Swanson - Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Steven Swanson joined INNOViON in February 2004, bringing over 20 years of experience
in the semiconductor materials and services sector. Prior to joining INNOViON, Mr. Swanson
held a variety of Sales Management positions within MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc., a
worldwide leader in silicon wafer manufacturing. He began his career with National
Semiconductor with assignments in Customer Service, Production Control and Purchasing. Mr. Swanson
received a BS in Business Administration - Marketing from San Jose State University.
